From a purely factual & scientific perspective
Psychpathy is a personality disorder. It doesn’t appear as a formal diagnosis in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) but it is closely associated with antisocial personality disorder or dissocial personality disorder. Here are some of the characteristics.
- superficial charm
- grandiose sense of self-worth
- pathological lying
- lack of remorse
- emotional shallowness,
- lack of empathy
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOCIOPATH AND PSYCHOPATH
Sociopaths and psychopaths have many characteristics in common but one key difference is that sociopaths may form emotional bonds between people, while psychopaths are unable to. It’s is believed that psychopathy is the result of genetics and faulty wiring in the brain while for sociopaths it is a result of a traumatic childhood and their environment.
FAULTY BRAIN WIRING
Research from Georgetown University hints that the brain of a psychopath has a smaller and thinner amygdala, the part of the brain that recognizes fear. This may explain why they aren’t afraid and can’t exhibit fear.
Research from Vanderbilt University has shown psychopaths tend to generate a lot more dopamine. In addition Dr. Kent Kiehl of the University of New Mexico believes in may be a disorder in the paralimbic system of the brain, a system known to be involved in emotion, inhibition and emotional control.
There isn’t much research funding behind this.
THE POPULAR STIGMA
While yes, many psychopaths have killed, murdered and raped, it’s definitly possible for someone with this disorder to lead a completely normal life and even be successful.
Take neuroscientist James Fallon, for example who discovered he had a similar brains scan to that of a psychopath and after going through a series of genetic tests, it was confirmed.
James never hurt anyone, he does admit he can be a little bit of a jerk sometimes such as not letting his grandchildren win at games, but he is far from dangerous.
He believes it’s because of his environment, he has a loving home. His parents loved, protected and gave him a lot of attention.
WHERE DO YOU FIT
Here’s a post that will lead you to a link of where you fit on the psychopath spectrum
I got 76% in the psychopathic spectrum.

New Poster of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies! [x]
Well DragonCon slowly approaches and I have so much im working on. Between repair jobs, resizings, etc, and even building my suits. My struggle is classic Quicksilver. He’s been one I have done before but now I’m coming back to it and making it better than before. My original classic suit was a gift and I still own it. Its just been retired. So for this year it was requested and so I can’t say I was really not excited lol. A amazing friend of mine helped me out with sending me some spare fabric they had laying around. So my approach is Satin Spandex for the entire suit except for the briefs. I want a matte look for those to break up all the shiny. The pattern is based off of another suit I owned. Took it apart to draft out a newer pattern. I definitely love it so far. In the process of finalizing the bolts and ill add in my zipper and finalize the fit since satin spandex is a pain and is 2 way I gotta make sure it fits just perfect. Hopefully it’ll be good to go in a few days. Ill post up more progress as it’s made. If its completed in time ill be giving it a test run (pun) at Tampa Bay Comic Con while judging the costume contest. Its great to sport a classic suit design and finally to the way I want. Glad I have a reason to haul butt lol.
There’s two types of anger one is dry and the other wet and basically wet anger is when your eyes water and your voice shakes and I hate that cause I feel weak when I’m crying while angry I like dry anger when your face is like stone and your voice is sharp I guess wet anger shows that you care too much and dry anger means you’re done.
This is the best description ever

Self-taught Alaskan sculptor Lee Cross, known professionally as Wood Splitter Lee, creates incredible one of a kind fantasy creatures that are so remarkably lifelike they verge on creepy, which is just one of the things that makes them so awesome. All of Lee’s creatures are completely made by hand without the use of and patterns, molds or casts. Their bodies contain articulated skeletons wrapped with stuffing, making them very soft to handle and fully posable. They’re decorated with carefully hand-applied synthetic fur and paint. As you can see from these photos, some of Lee’s creatures are more fantastic in nature than others, but they’re all amazing to behold.
Lee’s creatures are available for purchase through weekly Auction Adoptions held on eBay.
